Attorney Shawn DeRosa is one of the leading experts in
recreational risk management in the nation, with a
particular focus on the aquatics industry. Before joining the
RubySpeaks team, Shawn gained national recognition as
the Northeast Regional
Director for the National
Recreation and Park
Association.
Shawn served as the
Aquatics Program Coordinator
for the Massachusetts State Forest and Park System
where he oversaw 66 aquatic facilities including 38 inland
beaches, 6 ocean beaches, and 20 swimming pools.
Internationally recognized for his work in the aquatics
industry, Shawn is currently a member of the Adjunct
Faculty of Salem State College where he teaches courses
in the Recreation & Sport Management curricula. The

Following the tragic shootings at Columbine High
School in 1999, Lori was invited to help create the
Columbine Connections Resource Center, a community
center dedicated to the healing of those impacted.
As the Executive Director of PACCT (Parents and
Community Connecting Together) she worked closely
with leaders from mental health organizations, the
school district, local law enforcement and park and
recreation agencies.
As an elected official, Lori served 8 1/2 years on the
Foothills Park and Recreation Board of Directors, leading
as President 2006-2008. Foothills is a National Recreation
& Park Association Gold Medal and Excellence in
Aquatics Award-Winning Agency in Littleton, Colorado
serving 144,000 community members.
Lori has her B.A. in Psychology and is an ASIST, (Applied
Suicide Intervention Skills Training) Consulting Trainer
and a certified SafeTALK trainer through LivingWorks,
offering suicide awareness workshops for community

Before joining the RubySpeaks team, Molly McClure,
a Certified Park and Recreation Professional, was the
Executive Director of the Anderson Park District for 21 years and has worked in the profession for more than 30 years.
Molly has strong ties to the business community through her involvement with the Anderson Area Chamber of Commerce and was elected President in 2006 and 2007.
She served the Ohio Park and Recreation Association’s board for 7 years; 2 years as President of the Board. Molly is passionately involved in the coalitions which led to the creation of Ohio’s Statewide Physical Activity and Nutrition Plan, the Board Development Institute and the Girls Institute of Ohio – a collaboration between juvenile justice and parks and recreation in an effort to reduce the alarming rise of girls entering the juvenile justice system. In 2006, her peers named her Professional of the Year.
